TOCA

"A TOCA é um projecto interventivo e multidisciplinar que se foca essencialmente na temática do espaço. Reflecte sobre a potencialidade do lugar enquanto obra especifica. É um projecto que propõe uma alternativa de reestruturação do palco criativo, pela tentativa de conciliar meios e pessoas conscientes da importância do espaço morto e vedado ao cidadão comum. Assim, pretendemos criar uma rede alternativa de espaços ocupados e reutilizados, independentemente da natureza, dimensão ou utilidade dos mesmos.

Todas as areas interventivas são exploradas pela TOCA, pois esta não pretende afirmar-se artisticamente de forma isolada mas antes ser a receita de um conjunto de parcerias e relações com os demais projectos artisticos/culturais da cidade. O processo activo na recuperação dum espaço é para nós obra em si mesmo, sendo que a degradação é um fenomeno de mutação fisica único, no qual a contaminação organica e residual modifica a matéria, sendo este momento criativo que fundamenta a nossa actividade.

Mais do que suscitar o debate público, a TOCA incita á acção, invocando-a como válida por si, pois será sempre com o intuito de mobilizar o espaço público/privado que a criação ganha sentido, consideramos o acto interventivo indissociavel do acto reflectivo, isto é, que fazer é necessariamente pensar. "


TOCA is an interventional, multidisciplinary project that focuses primarily on the space theme. It reflects on the potential of the place as an independent art creation. We propose an alternative for restructuring the creative stage, by trying to combine resources and people aware of the importance of dead and inaccessible areas. Creating a network of alternative rethinked spaces regardless of their nature, size or value. All areas are explored by TOCA, as we do not intend to assert ourselves artistically in a isolated way but rather to be a recipe of ideas and relationships with other projects and people. The degradation is a unique physical phenomenon of mutation, in which the organic contamination changes matter,and it is this creative symbolic moment that we try to explore in both conceptual and practical ways.

Rather than trying to raise the public debate, we pretend to call action, considering the intervening act, indivisible of the reflection and therefore the only way to rethink social space. Toca & Blind Goat present


Ondas de Miopia Tipar is an exhibition that gathers together five apparent foreigners that decided to experience working side by side. Deli Gleba, Catarina Santos and Iolanda Oliveira, all three from Portugal met in Wroclaw the two romanians, Rada Nastai and Paul Vekony and started a journey.
All the works presented in the space of Galeria U are intertwined by prevalent ideas such as balance, memory, sexuality, light, questioning, reborning, symbolistic, nature, humanity. Thus, the title of the exhibiton refers to myopia, which is a visual dysfunction that makes one blind at distance, as we all seek for evident aswers and find it more difficult to see the whole.

Along with this exhibition and taking advantage of the space that Galeria U is offering, a group of creators is being born. They are known by the name of Blind Goat.
